Initial Roughs
It all starts with the whiteboard. I worked with the product owner to sketch out the basics and agree who the primary user was and what the main user flows would be.

Wireframes
With the main flows identified I worked up several sets of wireframes. Starting with simple box's and arrows for the user flows and then iteratively working the designs to create a detailed plan for the entire application. After I worked up a set of wireframes it was clear that the team needed to work with a staged approach to developing the functionality and it was a agreed that the application would be matured over several releases.

The UI
Once we had agreed a set of flows and the structure I was able to create the look-and-feel of the application and develop a library of UI components for the developers to work with. The application was to be launched on both Android and Apple platfoirms so I had to work up two sets of design assets for multiple resolutions and devices.

Design Backlog
Working with the stakeholders I was responsible for creating the backlog and planning the various design sprints and deviverables.

Desktop Application
As well as the mobile versions of the application our UX research indicated that we would also need to create a desktop version of the app. That work required a seperate development team and a new set of designs and assets.

Destop Wires and Assets
Based on the mobile designs and flows I had to create a set of desktop wireframes and work up a new set of designs and design assets for users within a browser environment.

The Video Playeer
The engine of the entire application was a custom built video player that allowed the user to keep track of their progress through the various courseware.
