The Process

I had to learn as much about the company's ideal customers as possible, sometimes the brand a client would envisage for themselves does not best resonate with their ideal audience.

I researched competitors to learn the rules of that industry. Sometimes that also allows a brand to break those rules and truly stand out. I put a lot of work into every brand before any design work begins. The brand began to evolve over a series of designs that I reviewed at every stage.

Once I had a visual direction for the project, a design language for developing the brand, I started to define the elements required for the website. Initially I built some low fidelity mockups that I worked up to more finished graphic pieces that I tested and reviewed with the team.

I have completed the design of the navigation system, the look and feel of the store, the brand elements including the logo, and the main pages for the site. Final content and product pictures as well as the marketing messages are still outstanding.

Halo was purchased by Bose in 2023.

eCommerce Site

Originally intended as an Amazon company Halo was launched in October 2019.  I was approached by the founders to develop an eCommerce site to promote their product. I worked to rebrand the company and design and develop the identity as well as develop the eCommerce site.

Halo is now part of the Bose group.
